In high school I picked up my first SLR film camera at Goodwill Bins for $4. I got it because my girlfriend (at the time) was obsessed with photography. I began taking photos and learning how to use the manual controls. Now, many years later, I’ve kept with photography and have quite the collection of cameras.
Along with photography, I have a growing interest in filmmaking. With years of knowledge in manual photography, it only made sense to dive into DSLR filmmaking. I began making videos in the summer of 2009 and have worked on many different kinds of projects since. One of my projects, Anew Sight, was selected to be shown at the 2012 Big Sky Documentary Film Festival. Being the first documentary I’ve ever created, it was an honor to be chosen. I’ve been lucky enough to work with some of Portland’s finest, and now I’m hooked. I’ll be doing this for the rest of my life.
